台灣糖業公司台東糖廠文物館

台東糖廠建於1913年，日治時代隸屬台東明治製糖株式會社，1996年因環境之變遷停閉製糖，隨著近年來古蹟、歷史建物與閒置空間再利用風潮，台東糖廠以擁有悠久的歷史背景更具備多項文化優勢，廠區得以活化再利用，提供民眾觀光休閒旅遊據點，珍惜保存地方製糖產業文化，具有極佳之空間活化潛力，進而帶動台東地區繁榮。 東糖文物館原為砂糖倉庫(1931年建造)，2004年12月整修建置「東糖文物館」，2006年4月22日揭牌開幕；館內展陳內容：製糖機具文物、檢驗用器具、行政用具文物，糖業老舊照片(蔗園開發、整地、種蔗、甘蔗採收、運輸、製糖流程等)。Taitung Sugar Factory was constructed in 1913 and was under the jurisdiction of Taitung Meiji Sugar Co., Ltd. during the Japanese colonial period. It ceased sugar production in 1996 due to environmental changes. Against the backdrop of the recent trend of repurposing historical sites, historic buildings and idle spaces, Taitung Sugar Factory, with its long historical background and rich cultural advantages, has seen its factory compound revitalized and repurposed, providing a tourist and leisure destination for the public, preserving the local sugar industry culture, and boasting excellent potential for spatial revitalization, thereby driving the prosperity of the Taitung region. The Dongtang Cultural Relics Museum was originally a sugar warehouse built in 1931. It was renovated and converted into the "Dongtang Cultural Relics Museum" in December 2004, and officially opened on April 22, 2006. The museum displays exhibits including sugar-making machinery artifacts, testing instruments, administrative supplies, and vintage sugar industry photos covering sugarcane field development, land preparation, sugarcane planting, sugarcane harvesting, transportation, sugar production processes and other related contents.
