The High-Value Patent Database for the Intelligent Vehicle Industry mainly covers invention patents and utility model patents related to intelligent vehicle manufacturing from global patent databases. It retrieves and scores the patent data using proprietary algorithms, which helps users gain insights into the intellectual property (IP) filing status and geographic layout of the intelligent vehicle industry. By comparing the patent data of different enterprises in this industry, users can understand their respective technological innovation capabilities. Understanding the technological development trends and core technologies of the intelligent vehicle industry also helps enterprises avoid redundant R&D and intellectual property infringement. The dataset is constructed based on the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), combining quantitative and qualitative methods starting from the patent valuation methodology. The patent value indicator system is divided into three first-level indicators: technological, legal, and economic value. These first-level indicators are further broken down into second-level indicators: - Technological value indicators: number of independent claims, word count of the principal independent claim, remaining validity period (years), number of patent families, number of cited patents, number of forward citations, number of participating inventors, number of covered technical fields; - Legal value indicators: patent type, number of document pages, number of received invalidation requests; - Economic value indicators: number of transfers, number of licenses, number of pledge financing cases, patent award score, customs recordation score. A three-dimensional matrix is established based on the first-level and second-level indicators. Data indicators required for patent evaluation are obtained via patent interface data. The 1-9 scoring scale (minimum 1 point, maximum 9 points) is adopted to calculate the corresponding indicator weights, which are then used to compute the scores of each individual indicator. The sum of all individual indicator scores constitutes the total patent score. Patents are categorized according to their total score ranges: 80-100 are high-value patents, 60-80 are important patents, and those below 60 are general patents. This database provides technical references and guidance for R&D personnel of enterprises in the intelligent vehicle industry, and offers decision-making support for corporate R&D strategies.
