Real-time quantitative PCR analysis of human neonatal and adult monocytes

To evaluate the effect of histamine on LPS induced proinflammatory state of purified monocytes from healthy adults and newborns, we performed a qPCR for 84 genes related to toll-like receptor (TLR) signalling qPCR gene expression profiling. Purified monocytes from healthy adults and newborns in an unstimulated condition, stimulated with LPS, or LPS and histamine for 4 h. A total of 84 genes related to TLR signaling were assessed by qPCR.
