Polyether ionophore antibiotics target drug-resistant clinical isolates, persister cells, and biofilms

The goal of the study was to investigate a panel of ionophore antibiotics against Staphylococcus aureus in standard MIC assays as well as biofilm and persister assay. This was done to understand how differences in chemical structure translate to differences in biological activity
