Monitoring of flexible biological hydrogenotrophic methanation by amplicon sequencing

The purpose of this project is to monitor the microbial structure from the start-up phase to the flexible operation of a thermophilic hydrogenotrophic methanation process. Furthermore, the influence of different sodium chloride concentrations on the microbial structure of bacteria and archaea of a mesophilic hydrogenotrophic methanation process was investigated. Information about the microbial structure helps to optimize the process and to understand the influence of single parameters.
