VPRS 21044 State Electricity Commission Victoria Electrolysis Records

This series consists of the registered files from the State Electricity Commission Victoria (SECV, VA 1002) on the subject of electrolysis mitigation in Victoria. The files relate to the works of the Victorian Electrolysis Committee (VA 5651), which was originally created within, and chaired by, the SECV. As the electricity administrator for Victoria, the SECV had statutory responsibility for electrical leakage from the tramways and railways that was causing corrosion and damage to other buried metallic structures. The records contain minutes of meetings and other files documenting the review of all electrolysis issues of the state.
