Technical measures to reduce dust and NOX emissions in fluidised bed boilers and alkaline combustion boilers

This study provides an overview of NOx and dust emissions from the Austrian pulp and paper industry. Two types of steam boilers are described in more detail: the lye incineration (or chemical recovery) boilers and the fluidised bed (WSK) boilers for the incineration of sludge, bark, coal and waste. In these two types of boilers, most of the required process energy is provided.
