Microbial community dynamics during two-stage chain elongation with different bio-carriers

This study investigates the effects of five bio-carriers (biochar, activated carbon, zero-valent iron, nano-Fe3O4 and Polyurethane sponge) on microbial community structure and function in a two-stage chain elongation process. 16S rRNA sequencing was applied to characterize microbial community dynamics under different conditions, providing insights into how bio-carriers influence chain elongation performance."
