Microbiome of Preterm Neonates (Control + Patents with Necrotising Enterocolitis)

Fecal samples were collected from patients and, depending on presence of diagnosis of necrotising enterocolitis they were study patients or controls, the microbiome was analyzed. The main goal is to identify differences in the microbiome of necrotising enterocolitis patients in oppose to the control group. Data is used for doctoral thesis, as well as for publications created by our research group on the relevant topic. The folder contains microbiome results for each sample by identified microorganisms, a list of samples and a transcript of the file Sample_sheet.CSV. Microbiome sequence data were obtained with an Illumina Nextseq 550 machine (PE150). Samples demultiplexed with bcl-convert v.4.2.7. For sequence quality control, the fastp tool via the Galaxy EU platform. Taxonomic annotation of the microbiome was performed with MetaPhlAn2 through the Galaxy EU platform.
