In this project, we summarize the role of the gut microbiome and its manipulation in the development and management of Crohn's disease (CD). Large-scale metagenomics studies could enable the understanding of functional dysbiosis of the gut microbiome. Here, we aimed to compare the fecal microbiome of CD with the inactive form of the disease and with healthy subjects.
