Energy data is collected for power plants that have a nameplate capacity of 1 MW or more. Counties that are gray either did not report data or had no utility-scale (commercial) solar capacity. Map and data originate from the California Energy Commission Quarterly Fuel and Energy Reports. Data is classified using the Jenk’s Natural Break’s method.
