Prokaryotic communities of saline soils in Qarhan Salt Lake, China. soil metagenome

We conducted this research to: 1) characterize the prokaryotic community composition of saline soils in Qarhan Salt Lake, China and compare with that of nonsaline normal soils; 2) clarify effects of sampling depth and environmental factors, especially salinity on prokaryotic community distribution of saline soils; 3) ascertain the microbial resources for further exploitation. V4 regions of 16s rRNA genes were amplified with primers 515F/806R and sequenced using Illumina HiSeq2500 platform.
