VPRS 5349 Governor's Diary

This series was created to record the daily activities of a prison governor. These activities can include details of incidents within the prison, prison muster details and appointments.It should also be noted that the senior prison officer on duty during the night shift is considered to be the acting Governor during the night shift. As a consequence of this the night diaries have also been retained permanently. There may also be an overlap of dates of the diaries.Researchers should note that the detail within each diary varies from governor to governor. Some governors write details entries, while others write only very brief entries.

本系列数据集旨在记录监狱典狱长的日常履职活动，内容涵盖监狱内部突发事件详情、监狱点名登记信息及各类人事任免事项。需特别说明：夜间值班的高级狱警将在夜班时段代理典狱长职务，因此夜班日志亦被永久留存。此外，日志的日期范围可能存在重叠。研究人员需注意，每份日志的详实程度因典狱长个人习惯而异：部分典狱长会撰写详尽的事务记录，而另有部分仅留存极为简要的条目。
