Selected plastic streams.

The European Union's Circular Economy Package and other EU regulations set the course for a Europe-wide circular economy. They lead to changes in Austrian waste management and also have an impact on plastic waste. The report presents the EU regulations relevant for plastic waste. Subsequently, five mass-important plastic waste streams are analysed in terms of their mass, composition and environmental relevance or waste collection and treatment: Disposable tableware, used tyres, hard plastics, plastic films and agricultural films.
