Mapping the structure and dynamics of the unrelaxed Ophiuchus cluster of galaxie

We propose to perform spatially resolved spectroscopy of the Ophiuchus clusterof galaxies over spatial scales of 100 kpc to map its temperature, metalabundance and emission measure structures. We also aim to resolve the ionizationtemperature structure using the flux ratio of the FeXXV and FeXXVI lines.Comparing the ionization temperatures with continuumderived temperaturesenables the mapping of the nonthermal component and thus removing the bias inthe continuumbased temperature measurement.
