This dataset, based on historical materials and research results accumulated over the years, has created the sedimentary type distribution map of China's offshore waters through methods including data processing, classification and fusion, and sample analysis. It reveals the sedimentary types and their distribution characteristics of major sea areas such as the Bohai Sea, Yellow Sea and East China Sea in China's offshore regions, and clarifies submarine geological features including the distribution ranges, development characteristics and formation processes of sediment types in different offshore sea areas of China. This dataset holds significant reference value for research on the sedimentary environment of China's offshore waters.
