This image dataset primarily contains ecological photographs of winter birds in Tibet, captured in December 2020 by Song Gang. The shooting areas mainly include Lhasa, Qushui and other relevant regions. The photographed bird species consist of Tibetan Eared Pheasant, Hodgson's Partridge, Red-billed Chough, Upland Buzzard, Great Rosefinch, Giant Babax, Grey-sided Laughingthrush, Brown Accentor, Robin Accentor and other species. The dataset covers major avian groups including terrestrial birds, swimming birds, wading birds, pigeons and doves, birds of prey, and passerines, with the birds distributed across various habitat types such as alpine meadows, shrubs, woodlands, rivers, lakes, wetlands and farmlands. The species identifications were conducted by Song Gang, Xing Jiahua and Qiao Huijie from the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Yang Le and Zhou Shengling from the Plateau Biological Institute of Tibet Autonomous Region; and Yixi Duojie from the Natural History Museum of Tibet Autonomous Region, among other personnel.
