Railway networks with basic characteristics are a refined railway data product, which means that they are generated from a number of existing data products. The type of processing is a so-called homogenisation. The purpose of homogenisation is to create ranges that are homogeneous with respect to two or more attributes from different data products (also known as phenomenon types).
