VPRS 15140 Agenda and Committee Papers

This series comprises notice papers outlining matters to be considered at meetings of various council committees. The records may include letters notifying councillors about meetings, agenda, officers' reports, correspondence and other papers relevant to agenda items.The folders may contain records of one committee only or a number of committees. During certain periods, the Committee of the Whole Council became responsible for a range of matters that, at other times, were distributed among separate committees.The records are arranged chronologically according to date of meeting. The most recent papers can usually be found at the top of each folder.During processing of the records for transfer to the Public Record Office Victoria, the papers were removed from their original folders and filed in acid free folders supplied by the PROV. Sometimes this required a large file to be divided into two or more new files, but the original order of the papers has been retained.Minutes or reports of committee meetings may be found with Council minutes.Agenda and Committee papers from the following Committees are in this series.* Public Works Committee* Miscellaneous Committees and Committee of the Whole Council.
