Yearly evolution of the account of railway connections on Infrabel's network per area. A railway connections allows for a company to be connected to the railway network. This particular infrastructure comprises the junction and the private tracks including all railway installations beyond the junction. Railway connections definitions from 2022 onwards : Railway connections: total number of connections (active and inactive)Active railway connections : total number of connections that have actual rail activity in year Y-1.Inactive railway connections : total number of connections that are under contract (or ministerial order) and have no effective rail activity in year Y-1.
