Commissioned by the then Department of Natural Resources and Energy, now Department of Land and Soil Protection, Underground and Natural Resources, isohypsen maps were made of the Tertiary in Flanders. On the basis of the available geological data (disclosures, drillings, seismic profiles, borehole measurements, etc....), each of the Tertiary formations in Flanders and Brussels drew up the course of the base of this formation in the form of isohypsen maps. The report covers the occurrence areas of the Tertiary formations, the fractions and the isohypses of the base of the Tertiary formations.
