As a favourable indicator parameter, the determination of the AOX (adsorbable organically bound halogens) is required in various waste water emission regulations and often by decision. In a comparative laboratory study, the Federal Environment Agency compared shaking, agitating, column method and solid phase extraction to determine the AOX in landfill leaching water.
