Aptamers against Anaplasma phagocytophilum and its host cells. Anti-Anaplasma aptamers

The objective of our study was to develop DNA aptamers against A. phagocytophilum, or molecules expressed during the infection. We set up a customized selection protocol against an enriched suspension of Anaplasma phagocytophilum NY18 strain, cultivated in HL-60 cells. Aliquots of the library recovered from R04 to R12 for positive selection and for R09, R11 and R12 for negative selection were analyzed by Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) on a iSeq100 instrument (Illumina).
