Areas at risk of erosion

The minimum erosion limitation requirements are based on the degree of water or wind erosion hazards of agricultural land. Pursuant to Paragraph 16(1) of the GAPKondV, Land governments must allocate agricultural land according to the degree of risk of erosion in accordance with Annexes 3 and 4 to Paragraph 16 of the GAPKondV and designate the areas concerned. On arable land in these areas, the requirements for management pursuant to Section 16(2) to (4) of the GAPKondV shall apply. The classification is carried out in Thuringia on the basis of the IACS field blocks pursuant to Section 5(1)(2) of the GAPInVeKoS Regulation. The classification is carried out in Thuringia in accordance with § 13 Thür GAPVO for each field block at risk of erosion (agricultural land) with the water erosion hazards KWasser1 (erosion hazard) or KWasser2 (highly erosion risk). For areas located in Thuringia, no erosion steps for wind are indicated. In order to determine the potential risk of erosion by water, the factors KSR (erosion susceptibility of soil type, slope inclination, rain erosivity) are taken into account. The specified factors were determined in a grid of 5 x 5 m. The classification of the field blocks is updated annually on the basis of the field blocks of the Digital Base Map and published on 01.02.
