Landscape Atlas 2001 – anchorages, line relicts, punt and relict zones

The Landscape Atlas is the result of a rapid survey of the relics of traditional landscapes in Flanders, based on the available sources of information, map series and colour tho-photos of about 1990. The layout took place by province, started in 1996 and was completed in 2000. This is therefore the reference period for this inventory. A relict is a remand from an earlier time which still testifies to the situation that was rising. With regard to landscapes, relictions can be very diverse in nature and in many cases testify to a history of development. Therefore, a classification was made of the spatial dimension of landscape relics in relation to the 1/50.000 map scale used. In essence, these are point, line and flattened relices. The categories are therefore point and line relicts, relict zones and anchorages.
