Register of foreign foundations in the Republic of Croatia

Pursuant to the Foundations Act (NN Nos 106/18, 98/19 and 151/22, hereinafter: Law), foreign foundations are registered in the register of foreign foundations in counties, i.e. the City of Zagreb, according to the headquarters of the foreign foundation in the Republic of Croatia. The Register of Foreign Foundations is a central electronic database that is kept with the competent administrative body of the county, i.e. the City of Zagreb (hereinafter: competent administrative authority) unique for all foreign foundations in the Republic of Croatia. A foreign foundation within the meaning of the Act is a foundation duly established on the basis of the legal order of another State. A foreign foundation may fulfil its purpose in the territory of the Republic of Croatia after its registration in the register of foreign foundations, in accordance with the regulations of the Republic of Croatia. A foreign foundation does not acquire the status of a legal person by registering in the register of foreign foundations.
