THE PLACE AND POLITICAL INFLUENCE OF THE INSTITUTE OF QUEENS IN THE SELJUK STATE GOVERNMENT

This article the role and political significance of the institution of princesses within the state administration system of the Great Seljuk Empire. The article provides a scientific analysis of the khatuns' possession of personal divans administrations, treasuries, and military units, alongside their decisive role in dynastic succession and diplomatic relations. Through the study of historical figures like Terken Khatun, it illuminates the phenomenon of the "Khatuns' Government," which emerged from the synthesis of Turkic state traditions and Islamic administrative principles. Furthermore, the cultural-educational patronage and involvement of khatuns in the waqf system are evaluated as fundamental pillars of the empire's stability.
