Metadata and Recombinant Candidate Identification in nsp12 Region of 1,407 SARS-CoV-2 Genomes (Early 2025)

This dataset includes aligned sequence IDs and metadata for <b>1,407 SARS-CoV-2 genomes </b>, focusing on the <b>nsp12 (RdRp) coding region </b>, collected globally during early 2025. Using <b>Nextclade </b>, I identified <b>7 potential recombinant sequences </b>within this dataset. This metadata file provides sequence identifiers used in downstream analysis and can be used for tracking, filtering, or re-analysis of the nsp12 region.Sequences are primarily assigned to lineage <b>BA.2.86 </b>. Files can also be requested for other non-structural proteins (nsp7, nsp8, nsp14), with related analyses available under separate DOIs.
