Salinity, alkalinity and sampling of pore water from the Terrebonne Basin, Walker Ridge Block 313, Site H, Expedition UT-GOM2-2
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains sample preservation, salinity, and alkalinity of pore water (interstitial waters) squeezed from whole round coring (sample codes IWR and IWO) using a hydraulic press. Salinity was determined using a Reichert temperature-compensated handheld refractometer. The refractometer was calibrated using International Association for the Physical Sciences of the Oceans (IAPSO) standard seawater. Alkalinity was determined by Gran titration with 0.1 N trace metal grade HCl following the procedure described in Gieskes et al. (1991). Measured values were not corrected for contamination. Contamination control samples were collected. Salinity and alkalinity measurements will be corrected for contamination in the future. See Expedition UT-GOM2-2 Methods: Pore Water Geochemistry (Flemings et al., 2025a, https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.13971228). The attached readme file, previewed below, describes all the data files in this dataset and their contents. The readme file also contains links to where the data is presented in the expedition proceedings. Additional data you might expect to find in this dataset can instead be found at the following locations: The whole round sample depths can be found in the curation dataset (http://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14926309). Download the file UT-GOM2-2 CORE LOG depths – sortable.xlsx, see tab “Section-piece log”, sample code “IWR” for regular pore water/ interstitial waters whole rounds, and sample code “IWO” for organic pore water/ interstitial waters whole rounds.
