The CNS Tumor and Disease Genome Atlas Project (CNS-GAP) is a landmark genomic program focused on central nervous system diseases. It has molecularly characterized 4028 primary disease specimens and their matched normal control samples, covering 10 categories of CNS tumors including glioma, pituitary tumor, chordoma and others. This project is jointly participated by institutions such as Beijing Neurosurgical Institute, National Clinical Research Center for Neurological Diseases, and Beijing Institute of Genomics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Its core objectives are to establish the scientific significance of CNS disease genomics, advance the understanding of CNS disorders, and revolutionize clinical treatment practices for such diseases.
