Earthquakes are characterized by sudden occurrence, difficulty in prediction, severe destructiveness, and high propensity to trigger secondary disasters. Secondary disasters such as landslides and tsunamis triggered by earthquakes can cause serious damage to surface vegetation, leading to the deterioration of the ecological environment in seismically affected areas. Studying the vegetation damage and recovery status in seismically affected areas is of great significance for post-disaster reconstruction, ecological environment improvement, and coordinated economic and social development. Based on the GLASS Leaf Area Index (LAI) product, Vegetation Fractional Cover (FVC) product, 2010 global 30m land use data, and the Emergency Events Database (EM-DAT), this study adopts methods including time series analysis and spatial statistical analysis to investigate terrestrial vegetation changes and their lag effects under the influence of earthquake disasters.
