Total emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) from waste (including sewage) within the geographical area, measured in kg. Waste includes emissions from landfills, waste water treatment, bio-treatment of waste, crematories and incineration of hazardous waste, accidental fires, and other waste management. Emissions should not be interpreted as consumption-based emissions. Sometimes road traffic on the core road network and individual industrial activities can lead to high emissions locally.
