Global Yearly Forest Height in 2000-2020

This dataset describes Global Tree Height(HT) by GEDI and MODIS GLASS Dataset in 2001-2020.The Spatial resolution of thisdataset is 0.00833333 degree in GCS_WGS_1984.The HT data based on GEDI SAWA indices in 2020 was used as a benchmark data,indices dervied from MODIS Global lAnd Surface Satellite (GLASS) datasets in 2020 were used to retrieval the HT.Different retrieval models were developed by Random Forest considering different forest types from MODIS MCD12Q1 Dataset within different continents. The final map in 2000-2020 were extracted by the information from MODIS GLASS datasaet with the models. The overall accuracy of the datasets are close to 75%.

本数据集依托GEDI与MODIS GLASS数据集，刻画了2001-2020年全球树木高度（HT，Tree Height）的空间分布特征。该数据集采用GCS_WGS_1984坐标系，空间分辨率为0.00833333度。以2020年基于GEDI SAWA指数得到的树木高度数据作为基准参考数据，同时利用2020年MODIS全球陆面卫星（GLASS，Global Land Surface Satellite）数据集衍生的指数开展树木高度反演。针对不同大洲内MODIS MCD12Q1数据集所区分的各类森林类型，基于随机森林构建了多套反演模型。借助上述模型，结合2000-2020年MODIS GLASS数据集的相关信息，生成了对应时段的全球树木高度空间分布图集。该数据集的总体精度接近75%。
