Northern red oak acorn dispersal and survival in a Southern Indiana forest managed with prescribed fire and group shelterwood harvests

Data from an experiment conducted in an oak-hickory forest in Southern Indiana assessing how prescribed fire and location within or around small group shelterwood harvests affected dispersal and survival of acorns presented on the forest floor. These data were collected to assess how management aimed at promoting oak regeneration affected acorn-rodent interactions.本数据集源自印第安纳州南部一处栎-山核桃林（oak-hickory forest）内开展的野外实验，旨在探究计划火烧（prescribed fire）与小面积群状渐伐作业（small group shelterwood harvests）内外的立地条件，对放置于森林地表的橡实（acorns）扩散与存活情况的影响。本次数据采集的核心目标，是评估以促进栎树更新（oak regeneration）为导向的营林管理措施，对橡实与啮齿动物互作关系（acorn-rodent interactions）的影响。
