SOUNDBITE Ranking 2014 repealed: sectors affected by noise

The prefectural decree described below has been repealed by that of the 2020 sound classification. Sectors affected by noise on both sides of the sections resulting from the Order of 23 December 2014 on the classification of land transport infrastructure in Haute-Garonne. Noise classification of land transport infrastructure is a preventive regulatory mechanism applicable to the construction of buildings in the vicinity of road and rail roads. These measures result in an obligation to respect a minimum value in order to protect future inhabitants from noise pollution. It results in the classification of the transmission system into sections to which a noise category is assigned. Each category results in the definition of ‘noise-affected’ sectors in which noise-sensitive buildings must have enhanced sound insulation.
