Raw material geology – RSG: Proposal areas for the presentation as raw material protection areas in the Regional Spatial Planning Plans

Nationwide, constantly updated dataset proposals for commodity hedging areas. The basics of digitalisation were maps of various scales ranging from 1:50000 to 1:1000 and own site findings as well as interpretations. The purpose of the data set is to provide spatial planners with a raw material geological basis for the preparation of regional spatial planning plans. It is subdivided into categories 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, 2, 3:Proposed areas for the presentation as raw material protection areas in the Regional Spatial Planning Plans, based on the prognostic raw materials map (as of 1982) and surveys of the LGB in the years 1995-2010. Categories 1, 2 and 3 were proposed by the LGB to the planning communities as potential priority areas and reserved areas for inclusion in the Regional Spatial Plans. For better understanding, the category of potential focus areas has been further differentiated, but no rating or gradation is associated with this categorisation: 1a: Raw material is mined in the area (proven buildingworthiness) 1b: Raw material is mined in at least a sub-area of the area (proven buildingworthiness) and for the remainder of the area there is a survey of deposits, or similar or similar conditions are likely to be expected with a certain bordering probability 1c: Raw material has not yet been mined, but there is a detailed survey of deposits that demonstrates a buildingworthiness 1d: Raw material deposits with special characteristics, in particular uniqueness/rareness with national or national significance, one deposit of a particular raw material in a wide range, possibility of use for conservation purposes (natural stone). In addition, areas for which there is no direct detailed survey of deposits can be recorded, but there are indications of excellent quality based on the precise knowledge of adjacent deposits. 2: Raw material has not yet been mined on the area, but based on geological findings, it is likely that there is a potential buildingworthiness: These specialist planning areas have the quality characteristics of potential Category 1 focus areas. However, according to current raw material geological assessments, it is reasonable to exclude any extraction activity in the next 10 years following the approval of the plan.
