Data Type: Dynamic. Vintage: Current. Changes to the zoning layer for unincorporated Jefferson County occur on an ad-hoc and as-needed basis by County Planning & Zoning (P&Z) GIS staff. Municipal Jefferson County is depicted in this data with polygonal boundaries per the County's "City" layer, where column ZTYPE is the city name- for example, 'Arvada', 'Lakewood', etc. Note due to the 10-character width limitation of column ZTYPE, some city names get truncated; 'Wheat Ridge' becomes 'Wheat Ridg', for example. No true munipal zoning is supplied here; for that information, one must directly contact the city for which such information is desired.
