Aeolian dynamics during the barchan–parabolic dune transition: Field observations and modeling results from the Mu Us dune field, northern China
收藏资源简介:
This dataset includes field observation data and numerical simulation results from a barchan–parabolic transitional dune in the Mu Us Dune Field, northern China. It provides high-resolution measurements of wind flow, sand transport, and grain-size distribution across the dune profile. Additionally, terrain data from the broader dune field is included, covering both the barchan–parabolic transitional dunes and barchan (barchanoid) dunes, offering a broader perspective on dune field dynamics. Files with the extensions .csv and .xlsx contain field observation data, while the .nc file contains the numerical simulation output. The .nc file records model outputs at each simulation time step, including q (sand-flux components for different grain-size classes), ustar (friction velocity), and zb (surface elevation).
