Government; government consumption by function 1995-2012

This table contains data on expenditure by policy area of the general government sector. The Classification of the Functions of Government (COFOG 99) is used for the classification of policy areas. This classification is also used in the National Accounts. The other terms used are also in line with the National Accounts. The national accounts are based on the international definitions of the European System of Accounts (ESA 1995). The data presented are in line with the publications on the National Accounts. Data available from 1995 to 2012. Status of the figures: The figures in this table are as of 95 final. The two most recent years still have a (further) provisional character. As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be finalised. Amendments as of 10 July 2014: None, this table has been discontinued. When will there be new figures? No longer applicable.
