Der Datenbestand gibt einen Überblick über wertvolle Bereiche für Großvogellebensräumen, welche bisher nur für den Schwarzstorch vorliegen, auf kohlenstoffreichen Böden (BHK50) und zusätzlichen, außerhalb dieser Böden identifizierten Moorbiotopen in Niedersachsen.Die der Fachbehörde für Naturschutz vorliegenden avifaunistischen Daten werden an Hand des in Niedersachsen angewendeten Bewertungssystems für Brutvogellebensräume (Bewertungsstufen von "lokale" bis "nationale Bedeutung") und auf der Grundlage der Roten Liste der in Niedersachsen und Bremen gefährdeten Brutvögel sowie der in Deutschland gefährdeten Brutvögel ausgewertet.
