Turnoff of H-burning and recovery of accretion in 3 novae detected by XMM

Detection of Xrays from classical novae in their postoutburst stages providesunique and crucial information about the explosion mechanism and the reestablishment of accretion. Soft Xrays reveal if Hnuclear burning is still on,whereas harder Xrays give diagnostics about the ejecta or the properties of thereborn CV. We have detected 3 interesting novae with our monitoring campaignwith XMM in AO6. V5116 Sgr (2005) and V5115 Sgr (2005) were still in thesupersoft Xray phase, with V5116 Sgr displaying a puzzling temporal varibility.V2362 Cyg, on the contrary, had already turnedoff, but the short effectiveexposure (due to high radiation) prevented to disentangle the origin of theemission.
