The Signaling Card shows the potential of deep geothermal energy based on gross assumptions. Deep geothermal energy (also called geothermal heat) is a technique for extracting hot water (60-100?) from the Earth by drilling 1000-4000 meters deep. A geothermal system consists of a doublet; a deep well from which hot water is extracted and a deep well in which the cooled water is returned. Above ground, the installation takes about half a hectare. Underground the hot and cold wells are far apart, the total required area amounts to 1.5 by 3 kilometers. This requires careful planning of the systems to maximise the potential.
本示意展板基于概略假设展示了深层地热能(Deep Geothermal Energy)的开发潜力。深层地热能亦称地热,是一种通过钻取1000至4000米深的井筒,从地下提取60至100摄氏度热水的技术。地热系统由双井组构成:一口为抽取热水的生产井,另一口为回注冷却后水体的回灌井。地面设施占地面积约半公顷;地下的生产井与回灌井间距较大,所需总占地面积为1.5千米×3千米。因此需对该系统进行精心规划,以最大化其开发潜力。
