Bioburden analysis of cleanroom and spacecraft hardware samples: D: cleanroom wipe samples. The number of colony forming units (CFU) of heat-shock surviving microorganisms is given. CFU total reflects the number of CFU observed on the agar plates. Pour fraction 0.8 refers to the application of a correction factor, since only 80% of the entire sample was plated. Wipe efficiency 0.2 adds another correction, due to the efficiency of wipe sampling to recover spores from surfaces of about 20%. (XLSX 24Â kb)
