The starting point of the study is to determine the presence of interrupted sexual intercourse (PSO) as a form of contraception in Slovenia in two theoretical frameworks, i.e. a medical view of the body and sexuality and feminist criticism of the medical discourse of contraception. The aim of the mission was to investigate and define the role of PSO in the social construction of female and male sexuality, to determine its position in Slovenian sexuality to assess culture and from a feminist perspective its impact on women’s sexual reproductive health. The goal was to find out why, despite many other methods of contraception, PSO are still advised and widely used, and why Slovenian gynecologists still promote it as a form of contraception. To this end, 52 interviews were conducted with contraceptives and 27 interviews with gynecologists and gynecologists in Slovenia. Due to the sensitivity of the data in the ADP, we only keep interviews with contraceptives.
