Noise maps consist of a spatial representation of noise pollution and tabular information on the number of people exposed to noise, as well as the estimated number of harmful effects and harassment. The preparation of noise mapping is a regular Pflich task derived from the EU Directive 2002/49/EC and the national law in the Federal Immissions Protection Act (BImSchG), §§ 47a.
