Ecology BIOL2050 Lab Section 01: Experimental Design, Effects of water distance on arthropod abundance in Grasslands.

<strong>Method:</strong> Three 16 m transects set up 15 m apart, 5 m away and perpendicular from edge of Stong Pond in Arboretum at York. Three different coloured pans (blue, white, yellow) set in alternating colours every 2 m. Total 27 pans, 9 per transect, 3 of each colour per transect. Approx 2 cm of detergent/water added to each pan. Pans observed after set out for 1.5 hours (3PM-4:30 PM). Individuals captured categorised by order.
