Water management limit

Official water management border between RWS Sea and Delta and coastal Regions. This stock delimits the area where RWS Noordzee has water management. The competent authority of RWS Noordzee with regard to the Wvo and the Wvz is linked to the water management border. Both laws have been incorporated into the Water Act since 22 December 2009 and fall under water quality management. In addition, the water management limit in BKN and NIS dashboard determines the number of km2 of water managed by RWS Noordzee. The water management boundary between RWS Zee and Delta and the coast Regions is defined as follows: -along the coast, the dune footline or outer crest line is maintained In accordance with the Water Act -at harbour mouths the border runs in a straight line between the lights on the heads of the harbour heads -in the sea holes (without harbour mouth) the straight baselines are maintained as laid down in the Borders Territorial Sea Act -in sea holes where no straight baseline is available, a straight line is chosen in such a way that as much as possible the through coastline is maintained (e.g. De Kerf and De Slufter) -the Ems Dollard Treaty area is entirely under the management of RWS Noord Nederland -the area between 3 and 12 miles north of the EDV area (NL claim) is entirely under the management of RWS Noordzee.
