The present database, developed within the framework of the Protests project of the Institute of Social Research of the University of Costa Rica (IIS-UCR), has as its main purpose to show the main trends of social protest associated with the COVID-19 pandemic in Costa Rica, during the period between March 1 2020 and May 31, 2021.本数据库由哥斯达黎加大学社会研究所（IIS-UCR）《抗议》（Protests）项目框架下开发而成，其核心宗旨为呈现2020年3月1日至2021年5月31日期间，哥斯达黎加境内与新冠疫情（COVID-19 pandemic）相关的社会抗议活动的主要趋势。
