Traffic in kilometres (UK) — Driving performance 2014-2019

The statistics “Transport in kilometres (UK)” represent the annual driving performance based on the characteristics of vehicle type, vehicle age, fuel type and energy source. The data refer to motor vehicles registered in Germany with registration plates (cars) and have been published annually since the reference year 2013. The data necessary for the production of performance statistics are obtained in the context of the conduct of main investigations (HU). On the basis of one year’s HU tests submitted by the Central Unit (CA) to the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA), the driving performance for the middle vehicle stock of the Central Vehicle Register (ZFZR) is estimated via a model calculation.
