We propose a deep XMM-Newton observation openPar210 ks including overheadsclosePar of MRC 0116+111. This unique galaxy group is known to host a remarkably bright extended diffuse radio emission - likely witnessing of a past extreme AGN feedback episode comma along with a moderate X-ray luminosity and gas temperature. Since its radio-X-ray flux ratio is among the highest ever reported for a diffuse source comma it is an ideal target to search for non-thermal comma inverse-Compton openParICclosePar X-ray emission. Assuming that the average group magnetic field is less than 10 microG comma the proposed exposure will constrain the properties of the thermal gas glowing below 2 keV and detect significantly the non-thermal emission comma which dominates beyond that energy.
